Construction of Mosques in Andalusia: Cordoba and its mosques
Author: Basilio Pavon Maldonado
The book discusses the early foundational stage, in the era of Abdul Rahman Al Dakel, and the expansions that took place during subsequent reigns; and the Great Mosque in Cordoba was a leading architectural locomotive that led the architectural development of mosques, and later on the development of churches across the Spanish kingdoms. While the book also reinstates that the architecture of mosques stems from the principle of interacting architectural and decorative elements to a point where one almost perceives them as one indivisible whole.
